  1. First of all: Huge props to Conrad Coleman explaining the Doldrums & Clouds over the weekend. Well done!
I've to admit I had some yibs & jitters when MAPFRE made a charge on Dongfeng after entering the southeast Trades on Sunday (The Spaniards got within a mile at times) but Dongfeng somehow with their easterly Position managed to stay in front of them.
So I've a Question to Conrad Coleman for tomorrows Broadcast: How much of a lead Dongfeng needs over MAPFRE when they both make the turn towards Cape Town in about a weeks time or so considering the Spanish Team seems to have some kind of turbo-boost in their boat when the breeze goes up. Dongfengs lead after blasting out of Lisbon was eaten up in no time.
Also, having not a Waypoint at Fernando seems to make no difference at all as the Teams go there anyway. At the 19.00 UTC Tracker Update the leading boat was about 160 nm northeast of that island.
