Congrats on the safe and successful rescue!! Go get 'em Puma!!!
Inspiring bit of work. Shows what you can do when you want to. Good luck with the "list" and the rest of the race.
@flaxon3 yes u have eyebolts around the rail where u can clip and lift the boat.
Anyway a Carbon Fiber Boat like the Volvo70 the total weight is about 14.500kg
not much…
We've seen a lot of boats lifted by crane over the last few weeks – maybe too many!! How are the boats lifted – I haven't seen slings used, so are there fixed lifting points located on deck???
Is quite amazing what's happening…may be someone didn't realize how worst was the situation dismasting in the middle of Southern Ocean with no fuel and the closest land at 800 Nmiles
the mast was in the USA!!!! Only few years ago all this rescue was not even thinkable today could be that this Team is going to race on the 10/12.
Great Logistical job isn't easy find cargo ship available at your order…
The best Compliments from all the Sailors and the Sportsman worldwide.
