But here is an improvement. That tool only works on a column with a free end. It won’t work on, say, a turnbuckle in the middle of a tensioned rod or cable because both ends are fixed. So I want a version of the tool where you can wrap one end of the chain around a column fixed at both ends and fix the end of the chain to the tool before tensioning it. So one end of the chain is welded on the sleeve, the other is hooked over a pin attached to the sleeve.
