Escutando as baleias
Um hidrofone (microfone para água) foi utilizado para gravar o som de baleias Beluga em video feito por drone.
[turn on sound sound ?]
After an incredible day of exploring, sitting in the cockpit on our way to another anchorage @senor.brady screams -“BELUGAS!!!”? Looking almost like whitecaps on the water a few dozen Beluga Wales were swimming all around the boat! Within a few seconds the whole crew is on deck! Seeing them from the boat was cool but nothing compared to the view from the drone ?? and that was not it ? @jamesaustrums brought a hydrophone with him and we lowered it into the water! ?? turn on the sound for the video ? and you will understand what I’m talking about!! Absolutely mind blowing, we have to get a hydrophone on #svdelos! Belugas are also known as “sea canaries,” they are one of the most the most vocal of all whales. They can dive for up to 25 minutes and can reach depths of 800 meters.
The vertebrae in a beluga’s neck is not fused together, giving it the unusual ability to turn its head up, down and side-to-side ?
